Johnson College is actively seeking an Academic Advisor. The Academic Advisor will be responsible for assisting students in their growth and development by constructing educational plans that are compatible with their career goals. It will be a continuous and consistent process, built upon the basis of frequent, accumulated personal contacts between advisor and advisee. Academic advising fosters the development of the whole student who is a self-directed, motivated, responsible decision –maker and encourages the successful completion of degree requirements and timely graduation.
A Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a related field such as counseling, social work or human services is required. Experience in an academic setting to include at least one year of experience disseminating academic information and reviewing/evaluating student records. Experience working with co-curricular programs and teaching is strongly preferred.
Adjunct Instructors and Lab Assistants
Johnson College is currently looking for Adjunct Instructors and Lab Assistants. All teaching positions require at a minimum, an Associate’s Degree and 4-5 years technical experience. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required for most positions.
