Diesel, HVAC, and AMET Adjunct Instructors

Johnson College is looking for Adjunct Instructors for the Fall 2015 semester. All teaching positions require at a minimum, an Associate’s Degree and 4-5 years technical experience. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required for most positions.

Adjunct Instructors are needed in the following areas:


Diesel, HVAC, and AMET Lab Assistants

Lab Assistants support the Adjunct Instructors in the lab. Oversee students in lab/shop areas and assist in helping students reach their goals for all lab/shop area tasks. Requirement of 2 years’ experience in a related field is required.

Mathematics Adjunct Instructor

Johnson College is looking for an Mathematics adjunct instructor to teach late afternoon classes in the Fall 2015 semester.  Qualified applicants must possess an Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.  Teaching experience is preferred.


Welding Lead Instructor

Johnson College is seeking a Welding Lead Instructor. The technical instructor is responsible to manage, maintain and supervise their technical area. They are responsible for assessing their program, assist with the development and maintenance of the departmental budget, and assist in student recruitment, retention and placement. They must abide and reinforce the College, ACCSC policies and maintain compliance. Assist in maintaining and completing/submitting any programmatic applications, reaccreditations, and maintain the guidelines as deemed by the programmatic accreditations.

Student Life Coordinator for Student Engagement and Residence Life

Johnson College is seeking a Residence and Student Life Coordinator. The Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of student housing for both on and off campus; this includes fostering a positive living-learning environment that is safe, inclusive, and encourages personal development while engaging the residents. Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of the student organizations and student activities; this includes engaging all students in a safe and inclusive environment that will connect them to Johnson College while encouraging personal development. Because primary functions of the position include activities, advising student groups and responding to student emergencies after normal working hours, the position requires evening and weekend availability.

A Bachelor’s degree and previous Residence Life and/or Student Activities experience is required.


Men’s Basketball Head Coach

Johnson College is seeking a part-time Men’s Basketball Head Coach who, under the direction of the Athletics Coordinator, is responsible for administering the men’s basketball program, including the recruiting, scheduling, coaching, scouting, and all other aspects of program administration. Critically important is the academic accountability of its men’s basketball student-athletes. Applicants must have knowledge and an understanding of coaching, as well as recruiting and program administration experience as required. In addition, knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations and a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the game of basketball is also required.
