Entrepreneur 101 Class Visited by Small Business Development Center’s Maria Montenegro

On April 2, 2009, Linda Falcone, Chair of the Business Department at Johnson College, hosted guest speaker Maria Montenegro, The University of Scranton’s Small Business Development Center’s (SBDC) Agri-Business Consultant, for her Entrepreneur101 class.

Montenegro spoke to Falcone’s students about the process of starting a business and the services that the SBDC provides. The SBDC offers free one-on-one consulting for entrepreneurs, covering all aspects of business from internationalization to agricultural restrictions.

The class of freshman and seniors were happy to learn more about the opportunities for those interested in starting their own business. Montenegro went through the steps one should take when starting a business and said, “We love to see people who have plans in their hands.”
