Rick Fornes, Electrical Division Chairperson at Johnson College, proctored the regional SkillsUSA electronics applications and electronics technology tests on Wednesday, February 4th. The competition was held at Columbia Montour Area Vocational Technical School, Bloomsburg, PA. Fornes received the request to join the judging panel and felt that the experience was good for all involved. “[Johnson] College tries to branch out to area schools to help establish ties. We like it, the area schools like it… [And] it’s always fun to see what the students come up with.” High school students from the central Pennsylvania area flocked to the SkillsUSA challenge to compete for scholarships and prizes.
