Johnson College’s Employee Event Committee will hold “Carnival for a Cause” on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All proceeds from the carnival will be donated to the Employment Opportunity and Training Center (EOTC).
“Carnival for a Cause” is an indoor event that will take place rain or shine in Johnson College’s Moffat Building. This event is open to the public. Admission is $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children under ten. One free raffle basket entry is included with admission.
Activity tickets start as low as 50 cents. Scheduled activities include: bake sale, raffle baskets, children’s moon bounces and games, pie-in-the-face toss, hot dog eating contest, and much more!
Stephanie Orzalek, co-chair of the Event Committee, states, “Every year, the committee looks for an opportunity to raise money for a non-profit cause that directly affects our community. EOTC does so much for Lackawanna County. Their parent-child services help local families and their workforce development programs are so important, especially during tough economic times. It’s great to raise both awareness and funds for such a worthy organization.”
Johnson College is located at 3427 North Main Avenue in Scranton, which is off exit 190 on I-81 North. For more information about “Carnival for a Cause,” please call Stephanie Orzalek at 570-702-8908 or Amy Shuleski at 570-702-8985.
