Johnson College held its annual Alumni Basketball Game on November 4, 2009. At this yearly event, the current Johnson College men’s basketball team takes on a team comprised of the College’s former players. The game serves to rally school spirit while connecting current students with alumni.
This year, the alumni team claimed victory over the 2009-10 Jaguars with a final score of 74 to 68. This marks the first time the alumni team has won the alumni basketball game at Johnson College. Both teams put forth a great effort. The game also kick-started the season for the 2009-10 Jaguars, who compete as part of the highly competitive Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (EPCC).

This concept of bringing together alumni students with the current students is very good. Must have been a great match!
Basketball brings people together. It’s a great idea to have this match. Look at that Superman tattoo
I also agree that this is a GREAT idea! I wish our school would do the same thing! Thanks for the post!
Very good idea! That tat is pretty cool..
Great idea… wish I could have seen the match…
Great stuff!! Alumni games serve to strengthen school spirit and bonds between all members of the program.
What a great concept. I wonder who learned the most out of the game. It must have been a joy to see the former players school the current players. That says something for experience over youth.
I always seem to miss events like this! Is there another one planned?
I Think events like this really foster pride in where you came from and a sense of real history for the current students.
Yeah we have a similar game at our local college. Always fun to see if they’re still on top of their game.
I’ve seen that coach before, he is such a great coach. I missed Johnson College so much, bring back many memmories
We do this annually and it gets more painful each year as we can measure how much we get more and more out of shape once we leave. But its just great to see everyone again, almost like a mini reunion.

The Johnson College alumni team might have picked up a few more tricks along the way to beat the 2009-10 Jaguars. Youth is certainly not the end all of performance, skill and experience also plays a part.
