David Jadick, Human Resource Staff Officer at Tobyhanna Army Depot, visited Johnson College on Thursday, February 5th to speak to students in the Electronic Technology Program about the requirements for the Student Career Experience Program (SCEP), which provides Federal employment opportunities to students. Jadick also covered basic work skills that would ensure the students’ success in any work environment, like timeliness, appropriate dress and professionalism. Electrical Division Chairperson, Rick Fornes, was thrilled to have the guest speaker in to address his students, saying, “[He] opened up the students’ eyes to what they’re looking for in the working field.” Johnson College has been participating in the SCEP program since its inception in 2000. This year will mark the 9th group of student to participate in this cooperative learning experience.
